Title: The tarantula Tag line: The dark beast awaits... will you survive Sub genre: Monster and Psychological Target Audience: My target audience would be teenagers because these are usually the characters in films and my film will mainly draw other teenagers to watch the film. In addition the theme of my film is focused on teenage punishment which is why I preferably need teenagers to be quite prominent and constantly make appearances. 15 to 24 year olds. Protagonist:The dumb blonde is going to be my main character. Antagonist:The tarantula Symbolic Codes: Bibles, Crucifix, Prosthetic Blood, Spider, Make up for the infected Synopsis:The blonde girl(very popular) is seen as good by everyone else but in actual fact there are people she pushes away because she believes they will tarnish her image. She is forced to battle the good and bad but end up doing bad as she finds it easier, this then takes over her. A disabled girl who wants to be her friend is pushed aside and cursed at. This is her bad side that no body knows about apart from the monster/spider. The reason the monster is a spider is because one night she lost her virginity(at age 13) ever since then has been a sex addict, sleeping with many people, the presence of the spider was recognised and in her sleep takes over her causing her to be subject to the horror of the tarantula. The tarantula punishes her for the act of sex before marriage and her inability to be caring to others. The tarantula implants its eggs inside humans and the humans give birth to the spiders, which makes their tummies explode leaving them in pieces. Reference at least 3 other Horror Films: Pultergouise, Conjuring, Get Out What conventions its has that makes it recognisable as this sub-genre: Low key lighting, Blood. Big houses, forest/ woodland areas, ware houses, schools can be used as an example of setting because of it's realism Which theme will it address:Teenage punishment

At AS I produced a hip hop/r & b music magazine and at A2 I am in the process of completing my horror teaser trailer. A convention is seen as a norm that is constantly repeated. An example of a convention is applying the key colour gold which connotes wealth as well as majestic nature. An example of a convention in A2 is the Final Girl that Clover mentions as well as the ‘rules’ that apply to this certain character/convention for example she is usually a virgin in to connote purity and sets herself apart from the other teenagers who have been taken over by this sexual nature. Dawn of the dead June 29 1980 Zack Synder Zombie The first scene shows a moon that basically covers 3/4 this is effective as darkness is taking over the world leading the viewers to the assumption that evil near. This could be considered as a warning sign. Another thing I notice is that when the woman screams the audience start to question what is going on, however when the man screams it’s almost as if the zombies have stripped him of his masculinity. This further suggests that zombies (similar to vampires) are a sexual representations which could link to religious points of all. "It will consume us all" frightens us because we are scared of what we have no control over "accurate vision...the mindless excess of our society" is said when the zombies grab the woman’s jewellery this links to consumerism. Representation: Final Girl Refers to the last woman alive to confront the killer. Film examples include Alien released on the 12 May 2017 and Halloween released on the 26 October 2012. The final girl is usually pure/virgin who the killer doesn’t come for because she has not done anything or should I say taken part in the sexual nature which has become the norm in modern society. The final girl commonly appears in Slasher horror movies with teenagers and the main theme is teen punishment but for the final girl does not need to be because she is innocent as a result the girl is spared. This girl is spared as intelligent and intellectual in comparison to those around her, which are the other key stock characters for example the dub blonde, the jock, the wanderer and . The final girl is usually the hero if she if not her then it is the jock.
